My name is Jason, I'm 23, I live in Roanoke, Virginia. I moved here in 1999. I love working with radios and electronics. I have a degree in electronics. I'm a Motorola 2-Way radio technician for a local dealer here in Roanoke. I mainly work on APRS (Automatic Packet Reporting Systems) and packet or digital amateur radio communications. I also work with Ham Satellites and other forms of radio. I enjoy scanning and radio monitoring. I like to program computers, I program in BASIC, C++, PIC C, HTML and other forms of BASIC. I like to work alot with computers, but sometimes they get on my nerves.
I am the owner and operator of RPC Electronics. We develop, produce and sell custom data/power GPS cables. We also offer custom data cables for Kenwood D7/700 APRS/Data Radios. We plan to offer small electronic kits soon as well. Drop buy and check us out. Pick up somthing, if you don't need anything, please pass the word on about us.
Now that I have been doing more designing (arn't engineers supposed to do that?) I have started to come up with some solid projects, these will hopfully become the kits that I will sell through my company.
One of my other favorite things is guitar, electric and accoustic. I have played for over 8 years and have had several bands over time. I'm actually trying to get into a local band here in Roanoke. I'm always looking for bands to play with. I play either a Fender Stratocastor (modified with a Semour Duncan JB double humbucker added in the bridge pickup position) or Ibanex AX-120 through a 100 watt Fender Roc-Pro Combo amp, stacked on a 4x12 cabinet. I like to use effects a LOT. I use a ZOOM 505, Boss Turbo OD, Boss Delay, Boss Equalizer, DOD Grind, ProCo Turbo Rat, Danelectro Hash Browns Flanger, Cry Baby Wah and a few other various switches and designs of my own. Oh, the built-in distortion in the amp isn't too bad either.
Guitars and Semi-Half Stack.
