*** Waypoint Generator V1.0 ***

This is a simple program that will let you format a waypoint string (NMEA Format) and send it to the GPS through the serial port.

The program requires the three fields to be filled in:
Name
Longitude
Latitude

Name can be up to 6 characters. Longitude and latitude must be entered in the following format:

DDmm.mmm Ex. 3714.140
DDDmm.mmm Ex. 07959.140

Make sure you Open the Port using the Open Port command from the program menu. Then use the Make Waypoint command to create the waypoint. The waypoint string will be displayed in the bottom data field. Then choose the Send Waypoint command to send the waypoint to the GPS.

So far this program has been tested on Garmins 38, 12(XL) and III Plus. It should work on any unit that supports two-way NMEA data.

The Save Waypoint is an function that has not been fully implemented at this time. So far the program will open a .wpl file in the directory that Waypoint Gen. is located and will allow the current waypoint to be written to. I plan to make this better and more usuable function.

Thats pretty much it!
