- December 4, 2011: It has been a long time since I last touched this site. In all honesty, I forgot about it for the most part. I spend most of my web editing time updating our company website. I have deleted most of the content on this home page since it was either no longer valid, just junk I added over time or no longer worked (linked from other pages, ect.). I would like to completely re-do this page and I actually have a format picked out to to that, but it will be a while before I get around to it. For now, the content still viewable may or may not be valid. Eventually I will sift through it and delete what I see fit to delete. Thanks, Jason.
- April 10, 2005: I'm in the process of cleaning up the whole site, page by page. I have come to hate some of the formatting I have used in the past and need to clean it up. This site is comming up on five years old. That means some of the pages are a good four years old by now. So no new content will be added while I do this matienence. That makes for 4 full archives, lots of posts and I appreciate EVERYBODY who leaves a kind word about the site. It has been a labor of love and I enjoy sharing what I have learned and done with others, so that they might do the same. I'll try not to be away to much this go around. - Jason KE4NYV

Now when visitors use a larger font size, the links won't stretch down past the blue graphic on the left side. Thankx to Rob KC8TAD for converting the menu image to jpeg! I hope this solves some compatability problems. The resolution still looks best at 1024x768. I have some new pictures that I hope to get posted this week. Keep checking back. - Jason KE4NYV
- July 15, 2002: I deleted a few dead links that were scattered all around the whole page. I would list them, but there is no point, they were dead and they are now gone. I'm working on some projects pics and some new stuff and still working on some new software. - Jason KE4NYV

As I come up with other designs or find neat designs, I'll add them. I also have a few yagi designs I am working on to add. - Jason KE4NYV
- July 11, 2002: Right above the Site News, I have added a new link to my Software Page. I have been writing some programs, radio and electronics related. I'll be posting them on this page as I create them and update them. I will try to always keep all versions available. That reminded me that I need to post it. So there it is, not much more than that today. - Jason KE4NYV
- May 31, 2002: I have been busy with work and not ahd much time for updates. I did although do some updating and touching up to the TinyTrak I/II section. Not much, but somthing. I'm working on some new projects and working on other projects that still need to be finished. When done, I'll be sure to post pictures and details of them. The GPS Display is what I hope to get done first. I have had MANY requests for code and schematic revisions. I'M WORKING ON IT! - Jason KE4NYV

- April 24, 2002: I did'nt add much, but I was contacted by a group of college students at the University of Hawaii who are working on one of the CubeSat satellites and was asked to explain how I wired a Yaesu VX-1R to a PacComm Pico TNC. So, I created a simple diagram and placed it on the Portable Packet section. Hope that helps you guys out and good luck with the Sat!!! - Jason KE4NYV
- April 14, 2002: As pointed out by Robert KC8TAD, it's been a while since I updated, what can I say, work keeps my busy. Also pointed out by another fellow ham, the schematic for Generating Sine Waves with a PIC16F84, I had left out a few key items, I fixed that and re-posted the schematic with the fixes in the PIC Projects section. - Jason KE4NYV
- March 31, 2002: I updated the PIC Projects page. Added a new graphic to the Generating Sine Waves project and updated the voltage level table. I'm still working on the pictures and HamHUD II+ stuff. - Jason KE4NYV
- March 29, 2002: I updated the HamHUD II+ section and added a link to the schematic. I'm also working on the GPS Disply project to add new stuff to that section. I'm also planning on taking some new antenna and install pictures this weekend for the Mobile Radio section. - Jason KE4NYV
- March 24, 2002: Been a week and a half since I updated the page. The new job and new classes are keeping me busy. I did change a few things. The HamHUD II+ has been pulled from the mothballs and is back into development. I'm on the development team, but I'm not doing much with it right now. I'll probaly be helping with prototype building, testing and de-bugging. The Trackbrick section was turned back into the HamHUD II+ section. If the Trackbrick seems like it is going to a have future, then I will place a new section on the page for it. As it stands right now, Steve is not planning on the TB anytime soon. The HH2+ is enough for him at this time. - Jason KE4NYV
- March 14, 2002: I added some new stuff to the Packet section on TNC's. I also added some pics and an explanation of the mods I did to my PacComm Pico TNC and explained how I got it working again after it died on me a year ago. - Jason KE4NYV
- March 12, 2002: I did'nt add much today, I have been busy with stuff. I added a new pic to the APRS section showing an elaborate APRS setup. Plus, it gave me a chance to show off my newly bought used Kam Plus, working pretty well. - Jason KE4NYV
- March 6, 2002: Somthing look different? Yeah, this is the new format for the page. NO MORE FRAMES!!! I liked them at first, but they proved to be some problems. The Site Menu will now show up on EVERY page weather you got there from the homepage or through another section of this webpage. So, enjoy. - Jason KE4NYV

- March 1, 2002: I added source code to the Pic Projects section for the Sine Wave generation project. - Jason KE4NYV.
- Feburary 26, 2002: I added a new section to the page, a Navigation section. This is different from the GPS page. It has to do with things like Longitude and Latitude, but deals with the "paper way" of navigation. I plan to even put some basic math in for things like finding the distance between to points. The page has gotten so big and spans so far over subjects that I am kinda forced to just add things to the sections if I come across somthing but it's hard to keep trying to update everything all of the time. The sections that should keep growing steadily would be: the Pic Projects, APRS, Packet, Satellites and the major projects of my own. Things like the TrackBrick will just depend on where the development team (including me) are at and I will update that as that un-folds. - Jason KE4NYV
- Feburary 25, 2002: I added some screen shots to the Ham Satellites section from my PCSAT APRS digipeat. I also added a link to that from the APRS section. I cleaned up some other sections and added a neat clock/calender to the main page that follows along with your pointer. This only shows up on the main page to reduce the annoyance. That's about it. - Jason KE4NYV
- Feburary 24, 2002: I added a schematic for the TinyTrak to the TinkTrak section. I guess it's about time I did that. I also added a link right below this for the Johnston City, TN APRS IGate webpage owned and ran by Robert KD4PBC. I added some pictures to the About Me page and edited some stuff on various sections of the page. - Jason KE4NYV
- Feburary 23, 2002: I updated the About Me page some. I also added a new schematic to the GPS Display section and I put a description of the circuit. - Jason KE4NYV
- Feburary 21, 2002: I added a new section to the page for my GPS LCD Display project. It has been sitting on the side for a while now and I just finally got back to it so I figured I could start putting stuff up about it. I added some new things to the "Famous Rausch Sayings" thanks to Alicia, shes good at remembering them. And I think I removed another dead link. Keep checking back for new stuff, I'm starting to work up a bunch of new material for the page. - Jason KE4NYV
- Feburary 19, 2002: I removed some old links from the main page and removed some broken links too. I did'nt add anything today. But, I am working on some new stuff to put up. - Jason KE4NYV
- Feburary 12, 2002: After demand from fellow hams and a recent major request to aid several hams, I have posted the schematic for a TTL to Serial coversion cable for Handspring Palmtops. The cable will allow for a Handspring Palmtop to talk to a regular serial device like a Terminal Node Controller (TNC). I am going to also add a HS PDA to GPS cable as well, soon. - Jason KE4NYV
- Feburary 7, 2002: I did some re-arranging of the main page. I moved the links for APRS tracking up and made it table. I also added some new things to the "Famous Rausch Sayings" section on the main page. I really did'nt have anything technical to add today. But enjoy what I did add. - Jason KE4NYV
- Feburary 6, 2002: I added a couple new, better looking pictures to the GPS section since my camera is working better, I can take better pictures. That's about it. - Jason KE4NYV
- If you scroll almost down to the bottom of the apge, you will find two new logos, one for E-Ham.net and heavens-above.com. I have been a member for eham.net for several months and it's pretty good source of information and articles. I just recently came across heavens-above, which will only be good to you if you are interested in satellites. I also added some new links to the APRS section. That's about it. - Jason KE4NYV
- Feburary 2, 2002: I added the pictures of my new radio install in my truck. The pictures are OK, but I plan to add a least a couple more. Thats about it. - Jason KE4NYV
- January 29, 2002: I added some new stuff to the electronics page about generating sine waves with a PIC chip (Thankx to Byon N6BG at www.byonics.com). Not much else adding today, as usual, keep checking back to see what is new. - Jason KE4NYV
- January 22, 2002: I added some new and better pictures to the PIC Projects page. I also added some pictures and some notes on a recent project on the Electronics page. - January 16, 2002: Hey, I added a new page on my TNC design that I have been working on. It's not a lot yet, but it's a work-in-progress. I'm also working on getting some PCBs done for my kits to sell. Be sure to check back and see when I get those on the site for sale. I'm also getting the pictures together of my mobile install and I'll get those up on the page (I promise, I will). Damn, work sucks (my job). - Jason KE4NYV
- January 9, 2002: I added a link about a quarter way down for my new PIC C SIG (Special Interest Group) that I started on Yahoo Groups. The group is for anyone who programs PICs in C and like to experiment with them and has projects involving PIC Micro-controllers. Since we had some crappy weather I did'nt get a chance to take any new pictures of my new antennas and radio install in my truck, I'll try to get that up next week when I get some time. Later - Jason KE4NYV
- January 6, 2002: I really did'nt add much this time. We have had some crappy ass weather the past couple days, so I felt inclined to put up a Weather Channel current weather graphic. Now you can know what the temp is in Roanoke, Virginia anytime (like you give a rat's ass). Working on some new stuff to put up soon. Check back regularly. - Jason KE4NYV
- January 1, 2002: Well, a new damn year. How about that? Anyways, I added a new project to the PIC Projects section, not much, but it's somthing. Don't have much to say this time. I'll be adding the mobile install pics soon (maybe this week) and work on getting some new info in the APRS and Packet sections. Later. - Jason KE4NYV
- December 13, 2001: I added a new section to the page for basic electronics. I'm going to keep this section for basic projects, analog and digital. Even though I have started to cover basics such as blinking LEDs and chasing LEDs in the PIC section, I'll show how to do it with traditional digital components. Along with some analog projects such as guitar effects and other neat little circuits. I'm still working on the kits, I'll have to see when I can get that off the ground. I might have a source now for cheap PCBs. Later. - Jason KE4NYV
- December 5, 2001: I added some new links to the Packet Radio section. They are mainly just sources of TNCs and other packet equipment. I'm still working on the kits, they are going to be a "work-in-progress" project. If work allows me some time to get it together. I'm also working on the new install pics. The antennas have finally arrived and I'm working on putting them in. Keep checking back. - Jason KE4NYV
- November 30, 2001: OK, so I haven't added much to the site lately, I'v been tied up at work a lot. But, I did add some new sections to the site and added some stuff to some exsisting sections. In the truck radio section I hav started to put up the new page on my new install (radios, antennas). I'll be placing new pictures in that section soon. Keep checking back to see what's new. - Jason KE4NYV
- November 28, 2001: If I can scrape up the money and time, I hope to eventually start selling some simple kits from my site. They are kits that I hope to model after some projects I have been working on. These will range from basic analog electronics to some more advanced PIC micro projects using a PIC16F84 and possibly others. Keep checking to see when I can finally make these available. - Jason KE4NYV
- November 25, 2001: This site has been up about a year or so now and I never really did that much changing untill now, so that is why I am starting a "Site Update" section so you can see how the page is progessing and changing. I hope this will prove to be worth the time.
