December 4, 2011: It has been a long time since I last touched this site. In all honesty, I forgot about it for the most part. I spend most of my web editing time updating our company website. I have deleted most of the content on this home page since it was either no longer valid, just junk I added over time or no longer worked (linked from other pages, ect.). I would like to completely re-do this page and I actually have a format picked out to to that, but it will be a while before I get around to it. For now, the content still viewable may or may not be valid. Eventually I will sift through it and delete what I see fit to delete. Thanks, Jason.

April 10, 2005: I'm in the process of cleaning up the whole site, page by page. I have come to hate some of the formatting I have used in the past and need to clean it up. This site is comming up on five years old. That means some of the pages are a good four years old by now. So no new content will be added while I do this matienence. January 23, 2005: I made a LONG AWAITED update to the GPS Display project. New pictures, new schematic and details on a soon to be realeased HEX file for the project. I also updated the About Me section some and added a new page that contains info on all of my guitars and equipment. September 30, 2004: I have been VERY busy and not had any time to work on the site (sorry). I have alot of ideas listed to add. I also have many people request that I put up more projects I am currently working on or finnished. I will try to do that soon. I archived the current guestbook today because it was just about full. That makes for 4 full archives, lots of posts and I appreciate EVERYBODY who leaves a kind word about the site. February 17, 2004: I have been pretty busy with work and other projects I haven't had much time to update the site. I made up a little APRS map page today for some freinds to track me and some of my other friends. You can find it at APRS Buddies Maps. November 10, 2003: I started to add content to the Geocaching page. I kinda forgot about it and since I haven't had much time to work on the whole page at all, it was kind of low on the list. October 18, 2003: I'm working on some new stuff for the site. I have been really busy with work and other projects and my company also. We will soon be offering all of the Garmin, Kenwood D7 cables as well as custom interface cables for the TinyTrak from Byonics. June 5, 2003: I finally got around to updating today. I added the pictures from my trip to Dayton this year. Also, on the HamHUD II page, I added a link to some pictures of my new HudVee that I put together just before Dayton. I re-arranged and cut some APRS maps from the mail page. Hope it doesn't look as crowded now. The PICPAC project is comming along in full swing. New code is being worked on and should be out within a month or so. March 24, 2003: I updated the HamHUD II section with some pictures of the new white on blue LCD that I put in my HamHUD II. The HamHUD group did another board run and I have two boards on the way. January 3, 2003: Been a while since an update. My new job has kept me busy. I uploaded a revised schematic for my TNC design. I have yet to write code for the TNC, but the new schematic is there with fixes to the last version. October 7, 2002: This is really neat: CubeSat Report. It's a CubeSat project paper from the University of Hawaii. I was a Packet TNC consultant on the project and earned my name in the final report :o) and from what I was told this satellite will actually be launched in the near future. October 2, 2002: I have officially released Waypoint Generator V1.0 and APRS Touch Tone Call Converter on the Software page. September 20, 2002: I added Parts list and layout for the APRStt interface board in the APRS section. July 30, 2002: I have removed the navigation "overlay" menu and replaced it with a image map. Now when visitors use a larger font size, the links won't stretch down past the blue graphic on the left side. Thankx to Rob KC8TAD for converting the menu image to jpeg! April 24, 2002: I did'nt add much, but I was contacted by a group of college students at the University of Hawaii who are working on one of the CubeSat satellites and was asked to explain how I wired a Yaesu VX-1R to a PacComm Pico TNC. So, I created a simple diagram and placed it on the Portable Packet section. Hope that helps you guys out and good luck with the Sat!!! - Jason KE4NYV

March 24, 2002: Been a week and a half since I updated the page. The new job and new classes are keeping me busy. I did change a few things. The HamHUD II+ has been pulled from the mothballs and is back into development. I'm on the development team, but I'm not doing much with it right now. I'll probaly be helping with prototype building, testing and de-bugging. The Trackbrick section was turned back into the HamHUD II+ section. If the Trackbrick seems like it is going to a have future, then I will place a new section on the page for it. As it stands right now, Steve is not planning on the TB anytime soon. March 4, 2002: I added a picture of a new custom cable that I made for my HamHUD II to the TNC, it's in the HamHUD II section. I also added a new little RS-232 line detector project to the Electronics section. I included some pics and explaination of how it works.

March 3, 2002: I added some new stuff to the APRS section on setting up a Kantronics KPC-3 as a stand alone WIDE-AREA Digipeater. I also cleaned up the site menu some. It seems to fit better. Feburary 26, 2002: I added a new section to the page, a Navigation section. This is different from the GPS page. It has to do with things like Longitude and Latitude, but deals with the "paper way" of navigation. I plan to even put some basic math in for things like finding the distance between to points. The page has gotten so big and spans so far over subjects that I am kinda forced to just add things to the sections if I come across somthing but it's hard to keep trying to update everything all of the time. The sections that should keep growing steadily would be: the Pic Projects, APRS, Packet, Satellites and the major projects of my own. Things like the TrackBrick will just depend on where the development team (including me) are at and I will update that as that un-folds. - Jason KE4NYV

Feburary 25, 2002: I added some screen shots to the Ham Satellites section from my PCSAT APRS digipeat. I also added a link to that from the APRS section. I cleaned up some other sections and added a neat clock/calender to the main page that follows along with your pointer. This only shows up on the main page to reduce the annoyance. Feburary 12, 2002: After demand from fellow hams and a recent major request to aid several hams, I have posted the schematic for a TTL to Serial coversion cable for Handspring Palmtops. The cable will allow for a Handspring Palmtop to talk to a regular serial device like a Terminal Node Controller (TNC). I am going to also add a HS PDA to GPS cable as well, soon. - Jason KE4NYV

If you scroll almost down to the bottom of the apge, you will find two new logos, one for E-Ham.net and heavens-above.com. I have been a member for eham.net for several months and it's pretty good source of information and articles. December 13, 2001: I added a new section to the page for basic electronics. I'm going to keep this section for basic projects, analog and digital. Even though I have started to cover basics such as blinking LEDs and chasing LEDs in the PIC section, I'll show how to do it with traditional digital components. Along with some analog projects such as guitar effects and other neat little circuits. I'm still working on the kits, I'll have to see when I can get that off the ground. They are kits that I hope to model after some projects I have been working on. These will range from basic analog electronics to some more advanced PIC micro projects using a PIC16F84 and possibly others. November 25, 2001: This site has been up about a year or so now and I never really did that much changing untill now, so that is why I am starting a "Site Update" section so you can see how the page is progessing and changing. I hope this will prove to be worth the time.
